The museum was founded in 1962 and is the oldest volunteer based aviation museum in Australia. It has a collection of over 50 aircraft, engines and other aviation relics as well as a massive document archive. It is one of the most comprehensive representations of Australia's aviation history. With aircraft such as a Beaufighter, DC3 and Tiger Moth on display it is a fascinating glimpse into the past and the part aviation played in the wars. The WW2 section was particularly interesting, in some cases you could even sit in the cock pit of the aircraft. I don't know how some of these fit, let alone even see what they were doing.
