Paranormal X Files was founded in April 2014. Bringing together a group of close friends all with a strong interest of the paranormal, we set off to investigate haunted locations around Australia, collecting evidence and attempting to prove existence of life after death. After investigating various locations such as J Ward, Geelong Gaol, Milanos Tavern and Aradale Lunatic Asylum, it became obvious that there was a lack of venues for paranormal enthusiasts to investigate, particularly in the South East of Victoria and our goals changed. In May 2016 we launched Black Rock House Paranormal Tours where we offer paranormal investigations at the infamous Black Rock House. 100% of the ticket price goes straight to the Friends of Black Rock House to go towards the restoration and maintenance of the house. In October 2016 we did our first paranormal investigation event with the National Trust of Victoria at their headquarters Tasma Terrace. After the huge success of this event, we entered into a partnership with the National Trust of Victoria to host Paranormal Investigations at some of their most iconic Victoria venues in 2017. All investigations quickly sold out for the entire year and became one of the hottest and most sought after tickets in town. We held events at Labassa, The Heights, McCrae Homestea, Ripponlea, Old Melbourne Gaol, Barwon Grange, Como House, Barwon Park Mansion, Tasma Terrace, Port Arlington Mill and Mulberry Hill.
On top of hosting these events, we also dedicate our time to helping paranormal enthusiasts getting into the paranormal community. We have offered ‘Basic Fundamentals of Paranormal Investigating’ seminars as well as hands on guidance to those wanting to be investigators. We also try to educate using our learnings and knowledge particulary with equipment.
