I am so excited to be teaming up with fellow paranormal blogger Ashley Knibb to bring a new perspective on the paranormal research we have both been working on.
I have promoted Ashley on my blog several times as I am big fan of his work and in particular his psi theories. I am very excited to collaborate with him on a new project. It was inevitable that one day our paths would cross, even if it was online. We began talking earlier this year and soon it became evident that our love for paranormal research was the same. So too was our approach to our research and not necessarily conforming to the popular mainstream method and thinking that has become prominent in today's paranormal field. It is this way of thinking that first stood out when I came across his blog and why I believe he and his work is so well respected in the field.
As writers with the same passion for the paranormal, for months we have wanted to do something together. It was always going to be a challenge being based from different sides of the world. Often we wished we could simply goto the local coffee house and just sit and talk about the paranormal. It most likely would go on for hours. Without this luxury, we had to get creative. It meant most of our discussions had to be online. It is lucky we liked to write so much, and we both work in IT which makes it a little easier as well. At some point everything we needed aligned almost in a synchronised way and gave us an idea. What if we bring a lot of the conversations we have about our work and our research to you guys. It is during these conversations over the last few months that I know I have had sudden light bulb moments that have inspired me. I started to question everything I knew about the paranormal and how I thought it all worked. It led me down a completely different path which I’m am sure has been reflected in my work over the last 12 months. The things I wrote about, the way I wrote them and why I wrote about them was different to how I have worked in the past. These last 12 months have been an incredible period of growth for me and my research, and it is time to take that to another level. I am able to do this together with Ashley through what we have coined Supernatural Synchronicity.
We will be offering an alternate perspective on each other’s research and starting a conversation that will flow through both of our blogs. It is a conversation that we want you to get involved in. We may not agree on everything, but it is being able to open our minds up to different possibilities that can help us all further our research.
I know for myself, Ashley has opened my eyes on a number of topics which ultimately led me on a different path to my research and how I approach it during an investigation. Most importantly, it is being made to think and think outside the square of conventional paranormal investigating that made me fall in love with it on a whole other level. I reached a point where I didn't want to be sitting in a room anymore asking the generic questions we tend to ask. I needed to look at why I was asking those questions and why was I doing things the way I was doing the way I was? What answers was it that I was looking for? I then took on a very observational role in my investigations and really started to look at human behaviour and how people were reacting to different things. The 'Stuff paranormal investigators need to know' series which I feel really came into it's own this year, while looks at a lot of alternative explanations, it is very much based on human behaviours and what our brains are capable of and how it ties in with the paranormal. When I combine my work with the psi theories that Ashley talks about, it opens up a completely new perspective and conversation. You can then see why we have decided to work together. It has all come together in a very round about way and explores a very different side of the paranormal that is not often reflected in paranormal blogs online.
The biggest thing I always encourage with my blog was that i wanted people to think. It didn’t matter if you agreed or disagreed with what I was saying, what mattered was it made you think and gain your voice on a topic. I present you with the information and it is up to you to decide how to feel about it. Maybe it even inspired you to look into a topic more to get your own answers and start asking those questions. To me that is what it is all about. This is what supernatural synchronicity is all about.
I hope to see you along the way on this new journey and we would love to hear your thoughts. I encourage you to go over and check out Ashley’s blog and come back and tell me what topics of his fascinate you. What topics do you want to start the conversation? What are your thoughts on some of his subjects? Please tell me in the comments below.
Supernatural Synchronicity will launch in early 2019
